Magic photo booths use instant plastic surgery to make anyone super cute

Once again Japanese schoolgirls are popularizing bleeding-edge technology, this time via Japan's latest photo booths that zap anyone with instant photoshop magic designed to make even the homeliest poser cute as a puppy.

Known as purikura ("print club") machines in Japan, the photo booths are as common as karaoke boxes in the country, but the latest versions widen your eyes and lighten your skin for an effect that looks like the work of a plastic surgeon with an anime fetish. The transformation is so effective one news show tried it on a photo of the Mona Lisa with startlingly effective results (see the "blasphemy in the service of cuteness" in the video above).

Also it seems Japanese people have an obsession with looking less Japanese. Lighter skin color, larger eyes, lighter hair, its almost as if they are trying to look more Caucasian. I wonder why that is?

I am afraid not, for that cannot ever be so for even I understand that they do not wish to become like Caucasians! Their pride is so great, that even the most brutal ammunition could not penetrate the armour of their loyalty and trust in their nation.

If they were truly interested in Caucasians, then perhaps it would be only limited to this generation or race of peoples, and thus, do not represent humanity as a whole.

But seriously look at the video. The tool lightens their skin, makes their eyes larger. Not to mention how many of them have blond hair. I am not geneticist but I'm pretty sure natural occurring blond hair is probably, pretty rare.
